The Door Sentinel is easily installed on the majority of residential doors out there however, depending on how your door was installed, you may need a little extra room. This metal template is ideal for those who wish to provide a more finished look for the door jamb plate or that have tight doors. The template is designed to work with any brand of router (using a 1/2″ Mortising Bit with 1/4″ shank) and is easy to use. You simply line it up, secure it and then router out the top 1/8″ of wood on the door jamb. This will allow The Door Sentinel door jamb guard to set flush with the door jamb, giving you plenty of clearance.
